Ministry Overview

Each of us is to be a missionary; it is no longer possible for the Church - or this parish - to be content with our many past gains. All the baptized - you and I included - are called to evangelization. You have been called by Baptism and strengthened by Confirmation to proclaim the Gospel to your home, place of work, friends and beyond. This is a difficult and challenging task. There remains the common and urgent need for us all to be ever more people of authentic faith, equipped through prayer and frequent reception of Holy Communion and Confession, to be missionary disciples here and now.

“Evangelizing is in fact the grace and vocation proper to the Church, her deepest identity. She exists in order to evangelize, that is to say, in order to preach and teach, to be the channel of the gift of grace, to reconcile sinners with God, and to perpetuate Christ’s sacrifice in the Mass, which is the memorial of His death and glorious resurrection”.
